6 Egerton Terrace, London

This fine Grade II residential mansion house built in the early 19th century as part of a speculative development was redeveloped many times during its life losing almost all its original scheme and ornate plasterwork and its present owner has instituted a full reworking both internally and externally to create a home introducing the 21st century lifestyle while respecting its origins.

Neil England was approached by the architects along with Charles Brooking to assess the originality of the elements, raise documentation to include re-fenestrating its façade and redesigning an ornamental interiour for submission to LBC. We also included the available historical data and evolved it along with Nick Tyson, into a document complete with its occupancy history to the present day. This was successful and Neil was appointed to the task of overseeing the works to ensure historical accuracy, both in methods and materials to a worthy and delightful conclusion.
